Tips to Handle Summer Heat...

In addition to support and care, we also like to take time and educate our neighbors on important health issues. As temperatures have already hit 100 degrees, we want to remind you how easily it is to become dehydrated even before your body tells you. For all outdoor lovers – be it gardening, exercising or breaking out the barbecue for friends and family, it’s so important to remember a few tips:

·         Try and do your outdoor activities in the morning when it’s coolest

·         Be sure to hydrate regularly - water is always best – even though you may not feel thirsty.

·         Protect your skin with sunscreen daily, wear sunglasses to protect your eyes, and wide-brimmed hats or baseball caps will keep the sun off your face.

·         Finally, be sure to take regular breaks and find shade as much as possible.

Summer is here for all of us who live, work and play in this area. Start good habits now as it’s sure to only get hotter in the months ahead.

We’re honored to work amongst our neighbors and hope our tips are helpful. As a local business, we also ask you support other local businesses in addition to us!
